Stretch Wrap

Moving can be stressful enough without having to worry if the family's antique sofa is going to survive a spring shower or a trip up a narrow stairwell.

To help reduce the anxiety of relocating, Bertsch Moving & Storage, has a stretch-wrap program that provides maximum protection for overstuffed furniture and other cherished items during the move.

As a result of the immediate success of the program, every piece of upholstered furniture Bertsch Moving & Storage moves is now covered in stretch wrap, a clear plastic film highly resistant to soil damage.

Complete Coverage

Bertsch Moving & Storage crews cover every inch of exposed exterior on a piece of upholstered furniture, including the front, back, sides and arms.

Even areas that are normally "hidden" by cushions are protected with stretch wrap. Cushions are then securely covered.

Scratch-Free Harley

"One customer was nervous about his most prized possession--a Harley-Davidson motorcycle--so he asked Allied Van Lines to cover it with stretch wrap.

"When the motorcycle arrived at his new home, scratch-free, the customer was so impressed he gave the van foreman a very generous tip," says Laura Cap, Vice President of Network Development at Allied Van Lines.

Stretch wrap can be used on just about any item that needs extra protection including barbecue grills and musical instruments.

Offered to customers at no additional charge, Allied Van Line's stretch wrap program is the first of its kind in the moving industry.

"We're thrilled with the positive feedback we're getting from our customers," says Cap, "because it reinforces Allied Van Line's reputation as 'The Careful Movers.'"
